How to Recover Crypto on KCC That Was Transferred to the Wrong Network
Always confirm the network you want to withdraw or deposit crypto assets to while utilizing your Kucoin account to move cash. People can easily mismatch networks if they are not attentive, such as picking KCC Network when they are meant to select ERC-20. When this happens, you may wind up withdrawing or depositing cryptocurrency on the incorrect blockchain.
You may recover your crypto assets on Kucoin in a few steps if the wallet you deposited to supports both ERC-20 and KCC networks.
What if you accidentally transfer money to the incorrect blockchain? You must first determine the type of wallet into which the money was deposited. Custodial and non-custodial wallets are also available. You have a non-custodial wallet if you know your wallet’s seed phrase or private keys. A custodial wallet, on the other hand, is the polar opposite: you don’t usually have access to the seed phrase or private keys.
I transferred money to the incorrect network. What should I do?
First and foremost, do not be alarmed. You should be able to retrieve ERC-20 tokens (such as ETH) transferred via the Ethereum network using Kucoin Community Chain (KCC). There are two scenarios, each with its unique set of solutions:
The tokens were transferred to a custodial wallet or a cryptocurrency exchange.
You need to contact their customer support to either let them support KCC or refund them to your original address.
You have ownership of the wallet keys and may recover them if the tokens were delivered to a private wallet (such as Trust Wallet, SafePal, or Exodus).
Proceed with the steps below…
- Get a wallet like Metamask (https://metamask.io) that supports the KCC network.
- From the wallet where you sent the assets, import the Recovery phrase/seed/private key to your Metamask.
- Add the KCC network.
Go to Metamask’s Settings -> Networks -> Add and fill in the following parameters:
Chain Name: KCC-MAINNET
Chain ID: 321
RPC URL: https://rpc-mainnet.kcc.network
Explorer URL: https://explorer.kcc.io/en
4. Add the contract from the specific token you sent.

And then finally you will see your tokens there.
One of the most challenging aspects of withdrawing your crypto from Kucoin is selecting the right transfer network.
You’ll be less likely to make such an error once you understand the entire process. In the event that a mistake is made, however, there is a good chance that the assets can be recovered.
PS: Remember ❗️ NEVER share your wallet keys with anyone ❗️
